Reduced after-hours charting to near zero for a solo physician

AI-assisted charting that let a single physician close out most notes before leaving the exam room.

The Situation

A solo family practice physician was closing out charts most nights after the office had emptied — no support staff to delegate to, and no time during the day to catch up between back-to-back visits.

The Approach

We implemented AI-assisted charting directly into the visit flow, drafting notes in real time as the visit happened. Given the practice had no dedicated administrative staff, we kept the review step as simple as possible — a quick read-and-confirm rather than a heavier editing process.

The Result

89% of notes were completed the same day, and the physician reclaimed roughly 4.2 hours a week that had previously gone to after-hours charting — time that went back into either seeing more patients or, just as often, actually going home on time.
